Yesterday night a friend sent a text. “Hi Dear…please whenever you have the chance I will like to discuss something with you. It’s important but not super urgent”.
We got on the phone and talked for quite some time. She shared her concerns. I shared from my heart, my struggle in the past spoke to her current situation. The things I had learned became comfort for her own journey.
Then I smiled. I saw Gods wisdom. How He had brought me through to help bring someone else through. How He had prepared me from long ago to be a source of strength to someone in my future. I didn’t understand it back then. Yesterday, I smiled. There have been many days like yesterday. After the conversation, I’m able to say “Lord I’m grateful for my weakness and imperfect life.” I see how you’re shining your light through my story to bring someone else through theirs.
Our call ended yesterday with me saying “I am here for you”.
It’s an honor that God will use our broken stories to show His strength in the lives of many.
Do you despise your story? Have you at any time wondered what purpose it serves? I feel you. I am you sometimes but i just wanted to encourage you today. Your pain has purpose. Your story isn’t to punish you. There’s great treasure tucked inside your clay jar that will bless someone else and bring God great glory. Don’t despair. Be encouraged. God will use that story that has felt tough and uncomfortable. It will be used to put His strength on display. It may also strengthen someone else.
Keep going. You carry great treasure within.
